Over the past 15 years Taxi-Trucks has developed into one of the leading express freight organisations in South Africa.

We have experienced unprecedented growth over this period, bearing testament to the exceptionally high standards of service that we have been able to provide to our customers. We are extremely fortunate to be the appointed partner of choice to a large number of blue-chip organisations in South Africa to whom we provide a range of logistics services.

Our company operates throughout South Africa through our network of wholly-owned branches in the major centres, and we also have formal arrangements with several accredited service partners in areas where Taxi-Trucks does not have its own infrastructure. We offer a variety of distribution services to a broad selection of major organisations in the retail and manufacturing sectors of the South African economy, transporting and distributing commodities that include a wide range of FMCG, healthcare products, pharmaceuticals, hi-tech instrumentation, textiles and footwear, air conditioning equipment, printing and stationery, packaging, domestic appliances, engineering products and motor vehicle components.

We currently operate a fleet in excess of 120 vehicles. All our linehaul vehicles are fitted with air suspension to ensure that sensitive freight is not exposed to any unnecessary risk whilst in transit.

Taxi-Trucks commenced operations in 1995, primarily servicing the clothing and footwear sectors of industry. Since the establishment of our company 15 years ago, Taxi-Trucks has been involved, on behalf of one of South Africa’s major retailers, in the distribution of imported general merchandise from dedicated Distribution Centres in Durban and Johannesburg to a network of over 500 retail outlets located throughout South Africa.

Empowerment
Initiatives

As part of the ongoing Taxi-Trucks BEE initiative, a very successful empowerment programme has been implemented.

Owner-operators from previously disadvantaged communities provide Taxi-Trucks with dedicated vehicles owned by the drivers and operated exclusively on behalf of Taxi-Trucks. These owner-operators are contracted to Taxi-Trucks branches throughout South Africa, and reflect the demographics of the communities within which Taxi-Trucks operates.
